Parking/Security

Visitor parking is provided in designated areas in the hospital lot. Spaces for handicapped parking are also available. While we strive to keep all areas of the hospital secure, we are not responsible for vehicle damage, fire, or theft while parked in the hospital lot.

Post-Hospital Care

When you no longer need the specialized services of our hospital but still require medical care, your physician may discharge you to a skilled nursing facility, a rehabilitation center, or to home care. Our case managers will help arrange for the services you may need after leaving the hospital. Please feel to get to know your case manager early in you or your loved ones stay at Kindred Hospital Richmond.

Medicare and supplemental insurance policies have limited coverage for skilled nursing care and home healthcare. Check your policies to be certain what services will be covered.

There are many nearby restaurants and hotels both on Staples Mill Road and on Broad Street. Additionally, Kindred Hospital Richmond participates in the Hospitality House of Richmond a non-profit lodging for those with limited resources who are in the Richmond area due to the hospitalization of a loved one.
